Lasha moved from Northern Nevada to Greeley in 2000 and quickly found out that Garden Square was the place to work. She has been a part of the team for more than 10 years now. Lasha is Life Enrichment Director (otherwise knows as the Queen of Joy). She deeply believes in the mission of Ridgeline in creating environments of joy, independence and wellness.
Taking pictures of the Fun is one of her many talents. One can often find the pictures of Elders and Staff and Family posted on Facebook or on the walls of our neighborhoods. No Elder Dream is too small or too large. She has successfully taken groups and individuals on Horesback rides, boat trips, Rockies Baseball games, Hot Air Balloon rides, and many an overnight trip to name just a few.
In the 10 years of service she has built raised gardens for our community in order for our Elders to continue their gardening talents. They have canned many of the vegetables, or enjoyed picking them for the meal as well. In addition she has developed a wonderful Memories in the Making program that encourages art from our Elders and has raised more than $100,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. The volunteer program that Lasha developed “Be A Friend” has grown every year and is now a masterpiece of volunteers in our community each and every day.
The Safety committee lead by Lasha for many years has done wonders to training and making safety an activity, as well as won the Colorado Emergency Managers Best Practices Award. There is no task that Lasha won’t jump in with both feet to accomplish!!!
Lasha’s Loving Husband Doug and their two young sons, Jakob and Andy, helped inspire the “Mommy and Me” kids program here at Garden Square. One can often find her and her Face The World foreign exchange students doing community service projects here in the halls of our community and all over Greeley.
