Garden Square Employees Honored
Garden Square of Greeley in Greeley, CO announces the nomination of four Care Partners for the Colorado Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association Sugarman Excellence in Caregiving Award! Family members of Garden Square nominated Maggie Mendez, Carolyn Sitton, Sue Wess, and Janet Maricle. All four ladies were honored last fall at the Alzheimer's Association's annual symposium. This is the fourth year Maggie Mendez has been nominated and we are hoping the awards committee will recognize her for the top award due to the consistency with which she had been nominated!
The award first came about in 1991, when George Sugarman, an Alzheimer's Association board member, wanted to show appreciation to the caregivers who cared for his wife, Pat. He was so grateful for the care that his wife had received, he decided that all Outstanding caregivers should be recognized.
